AI Presentation Maker | Top 4 Compared-Best Features & Quality of Content

Updated: Oct 1, 2023

Heard of presentation slides generated by artificial intelligence (AI)? In this post, I compare four popular AI presentation maker tools based on their features, limitations, and ease of use. For this comparison, I tried an example topic of 'solar system' on each of the four AI slide makers.

AI Presentation Maker Tools

Tome is an AI-powered storytelling format that is designed to create compelling stories and effective presentations. In addition to its other features, Tome also has an impressive slide creation tool. Creating slides with Tome is incredibly easy; all you need to do is enter the topic, and in just 13 seconds, you have a beautiful set of slides. Tome uses Dalle 2 for its image creation, resulting in detailed and stunning images. Although the free version of Tome does not have a download option, you can easily share the link with others, and it saves your slides automatically in your account. Tome's strength is its ability to create accurate and comprehensive presentations quickly. [Learn more about Tome.app as one of the top 5 AI tools for teachers.]

Slidesai is another AI slide maker that allows you to create presentation slides in seconds. To use Slidesai.io, you first need to install the app from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Once that's done, head over to Google Slides and create a new presentation. Choose SlidesAI.io under the 'Extensions' tab and click on 'Generate Slides'. In just 48 seconds, you have eight slides. However, compared to other AI slide makers, the content is a little too brief, and the images don't match as well. Slidesai.io has potential, but it may not be the most impressive tool on the market.

I created this 8-min video to show real-time applications of these tools.

Magicslides is a plugin that is similar to Slidesai.io and can be used through extensions in Google Slides. To use Magicslides, enter the topic you want to create a presentation on, select the number of slides you want, and if you want images, just click on "images for each slide." In just 1 minute and 45 seconds, you have a detailed and impressive set of slides. However, some images may not match the content. Magicslides has its pros and cons, but it may be worth exploring if you're looking for a tool that can generate more detailed content.

Slidesgpt is a website that offers chatgpt for PowerPoint. With its free plan, you can create unlimited presentations and easily share them, as well as access basic design templates. When creating a presentation, enter the topic and select a white or colored theme. However, there are only two color options, and the platform does not offer the option to choose the number of slides. In 4 minutes and 20 seconds, you have a detailed and informative set of slides. The presentation generated 13 slides, and unfortunately, the free version is "view only," so you cannot edit it. However, it can be used as an excellent source of inspiration for your presentations.

Comparison Table

Here is a table that synthesizes the information and evaluates the four AI slide makers based on their time in seconds, use of images, amount of information, number of slides, and themes selection.

Each AI slide maker has its strengths and limitations. It's also important to note that the results may vary depending on the topic and the type of content you're looking for. However, the comparison table and example topic analysis provide a good starting point for anyone looking to choose an AI presentation maker.
